近日很多小伙伴在新学期开始了雅思的学习，我们的雅思学员也有很多都在积极练习雅思作文以及句子翻译。在大家提交的作业中，我们时常发现一些常见的词汇语法表达问题。

本期我们就一起来看——对于日常高频出现的用词和语法方面的问题应该如何修改，一同避开那些年小伙伴们踩过的“坑”。

学生原句：

Animals as well as plants are the basic of ecosystem.

修改建议：

改为basis

知识点：

be the basis of… 表示是……的基础。而basic 通常作形容词，可以用be basic to表示对……来说是基本的。

学生原句：

The amount of private vehicles are increasing rapidly, which causes traffic jams.

修改建议：

改为number，is…

知识点：

可数名词的数量是用number表示，这里说到车辆vehicles的数量，是可数名词，可以说The number of vehicles…，后面接is…，也就是数量在增长The number is increasing。

学生原句：

The car users in cities is higher than in the suburbs.

修改建议：

改为proportion of car users

知识点：

这里要求描述城市中开车的人比例更高，所以一般会用the proportion of car users is higher来表示。

学生原句：

Children can contact with wider environment when they go to school.

修改建议：

改为be exposed to

知识点：

be exposed to表示暴露于，接触到。而contact做动词时通常是及物的，常用contact sth.来表示联系之意。

学生原句：

The school’s activities should let children to get the sense of achievement.

修改建议：

改为 get

知识点：

let后接动词原形（不带to的动词不定式），即let sb.do sth.，所以用动词原形get。

学生原句：

Car users are the highest proportion in America.

修改建议：

改为account for

知识点： 

account for the highest/largest proportion 表示占比最高。

学生原句：

The wider use of renewable energy is essential to deal with the climate change.

修改建议：

改为dealing

知识点：

be essential to这里的to是介词，后面接doing sth，所以这里to后面可以用dealing with…表示处理。

学生原句：

France using coal for 25 percent of its electricity in 1980.

修改建议：

改为used

知识点：

这里是在过去的时间，用一般过去时，所以谓语动词用used过去式。

学生原句：

Electricity production in Australia was almost doubled, which from 100 sets to 170 sets.

修改建议：

去掉was, 后面去掉which 或者改为rising。

知识点：

double不用被动，直接用主动就表示成双倍。而后面如果用which，需要引导从句。所以这里的逗号后面可以用（rising）from 100 units to 170来补充说明。

学生原句：

The process of globalization would have a negative impact to the diversity.

修改建议：

改为on 

知识点：

have a negative impact表示有负面影响，一般会和on来搭配，impact on…表示对……的影响。
